A fast-growing pet food start-up that won over investors on Dragons\u2019 Den<\/a> has surged to \u00a311 million in annual recurring revenue just a year after its TV appearance.<\/p>\n Omni, a vet-founded brand specialising in plant-based dog food and supplements, secured backing from Deborah Meaden<\/a> and Steven Bartlett<\/a> when it appeared on the BBC<\/a> show in February 2025.<\/p>\n Since then, the company has seen rapid growth, adding more than 100,000 new customers and closing out 2025 with \u00a38.4 million in sales \u2013 a sharp rise from \u00a32.7 million in 2024 and \u00a31.2 million the year before.<\/p>\n Founded by veterinarian Guy Sandelowsky and entrepreneur Shiv Sivakumar, Omni was launched in 2020 after Sandelowsky witnessed what he described as widespread, preventable nutrition-related illnesses in pets.<\/p>\n The company now offers a range of products, including dry and wet dog food, dental sticks, and supplements designed to tackle common issues such as gut\u00a0health<\/a>, mobility, bladder care, and irritated skin.<\/p>\n Sandelowsky said on Dragon\u2019s Den that rising health problems among pets had exposed a gap in the market. \u2018Skin conditions, gut issues and obesity are soaring in our dogs, yet so many products on the market fail to address the root cause,\u2019 he explained. <\/p>\n \t\t \u2018Omni delivers nutritionally complete, hypoallergenic food that supports health from the inside out \u2013 while being kinder to the planet.\u2019<\/p>\n Its momentum has continued into 2026, with a new partnership announced in January with broadcaster and naturalist Chris Packham<\/a>, further boosting its profile.<\/p>\n When the founders entered the Den, they secured a \u00a375,000 investment in exchange for a 2.5% equity stake, valuing the business at \u00a33 million at the time.<\/p>\n Meaden said her decision to invest was driven by both personal interest and product quality. \u2018I had already been looking for a healthy, balanced alternative to processed meat dog food, so when Guy and Shiv presented Omni and its credentials as a highly nutritional vet formulated choice I was bound to invest,\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n \t\t \t\t \u2018The big test came though, after the den, when I offered the food and treats to my pack of dogs and they literally woofed them down \u2013 that certainly sealed the deal.\u2019<\/p>\n Since the show, the founders say both Meaden and Bartlett have played a key role in shaping the company\u2019s growth strategy and long-term direction.<\/p>\n Omni plans to expand its range further, including new supplements, cat products and what it describes as a \u2018groundbreaking\u2019 natural weight loss powder for dogs \u2014 dubbed \u2018Ozempic for dogs\u2019.<\/p>\n Got a story?<\/p>\n If you\u2019ve got a celebrity story, video or pictures get in touch with the Metro.co.uk<\/a> entertainment team by emailing us celebtips@metro.co.uk, calling 020 3615 2145 or by visiting our Submit Stuff<\/a> page \u2013 we\u2019d love to hear from you.<\/p>\n Arrow![\"OMNI](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/SEI_292130341-0501.jpg\")
