The Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> and their quarterback situation remain a big question mark, as\u00a0we don’t know who will be the starter in 2026.<\/p>\n

Aaron Rodgers continues to make the franchise wait, and in doing so, other veterans like Kirk Cousins are getting signed by other teams.<\/p>\n

Will Howard and Mason Rudolph are the other quarterbacks on the roster, but neither will inspire too much confidence. But could there be an avenue in the draft that\u00a0Pittsburgh could go down?<\/p>\n

Bleacher Report’s Alex Ballentine has named Pittsburgh’s ideal draft scenario, and it has the franchise taking Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson.<\/p>\n

“While the Steelers await a decision from Aaron Rodgers, they draft his heir apparent in Ty Simpson,\u201d Ballentine wrote<\/a>. \u201cThe Alabama quarterback reportedly has fans in the league who believe he’s really the top signal-caller in the class.\u201d<\/p>\n

Is a QB the best-case scenario?<\/p>\n

Given that the consensus is that this draft has only one stud quarterback in Fernando Mendoza, it might seem like a reach for Pittsburgh to go for Simpson.<\/p>\n

We don’t want another Kenny Pickett situation, do we?<\/p>\n

With Rodgers still unsure of his plans, and Howard and Rudolph the other options, you can make a case that Pittsburgh would be better off going with one of those three instead of drafting Simpson high.<\/p>\n

After all, next year’s draft is reportedly going to have some good quarterbacks. So, why not wait?<\/p>\n
