Meghan Markle\u2019s upcoming luxury women\u2019s retreat<\/a> in Australia has been targeted by trolls making security threats.<\/p>\n

Markle is headlining the three-day event taking place April 17-19 in Sydney, which will focus on \u201cpowerful conversations, relaxation, laughter and unforgettable experiences.\u201d<\/p>\n

But online trolls have threatened to attend the event with negative intentions.<\/p>\n

The three-day retreat is scheduled to take place April 17-19 in Sydney. herbestlifepod\/instagram<\/p>\n

The user also hinted at secretly recording the event, according to the Daily Mail<\/a>, writing, \u201cThere are button cameras, meta glasses, we got all the bases covered. Now that they\u2019ve been accepted. Let the games begin!!!\u201d<\/p>\n

But some users speculated that security threats circulating on social media would be an \u201cexcuse\u201d to cancel the retreat, which has raised eyebrows due to its high prices.<\/p>\n

The cost to attend the retreat ranges from $1,930 (for the early bird special) to over $3,199 for the VIP experience.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe security risk could be used as an excuse to pull the whole thing. A cover for the fact that there are hundreds of tickets unsold,\u201d one user speculated. \u201cA cover for the lie that it was all sold out immediately. Not enough people want to pay ridiculous money for a short photo op with their quean [sic].\u201d<\/p>\n

Another comment reads, \u201cAnyone paying expensive price for weekend retreat should be allowed to record the events, take photos of their own. M*ghan M*rkle trying to control every thing again. This event will fail.\u201d<\/p>\n

The\u00a0highlight of the weekend retreat is a gala dinner, which is billed as an \u201cin-person conversation\u201d with Markle, 44.<\/p>\n

VIP guests will be allowed to partake in a group photo with the Duchess of Sussex and will also receive a goodie bag plus access to an ocean-view hotel room.<\/p>\n

Security concerns have always been a pressing issue for Markle and her husband, Prince Harry.<\/p>\n

The couple was\u00a0stripped of their security privileges\u00a0in the UK after they\u00a0stepped down from their royal duties<\/a>\u00a0in 2020 and moved to US.<\/p>\n

The lack of protection has\u00a0prevented Harry from traveling to England<\/a>\u00a0with Markle and their two kids \u2014 Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4.<\/p>\n
