Prince Harry reportedly plans to spend time with King Charles this summer, but a report suggests he may have made that goal harder, not easier. Harry<\/a> has been in the headlines as his High Court lawsuit against a newspaper group came to an end, and questions about when he might see his father again picked up speed. Now, his apparent hope for a family invite to Sandringham allegedly ended up causing frustration at Buckingham Palace after all the coverage.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry\u2019s actions have not helped his reunion plans, claims report<\/p>\n

HELLO! Magazine<\/a> reported that Prince Harry\u2019s plans to reunite with his father have \u201cbackfired.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notably, King Charles\u2019 upcoming visit to the United States also puts the father and son on the same side of the Atlantic for a while, reportedly adding to the attention around a possible reunion.<\/p>\n

Sources close to Harry have reportedly claimed that he would welcome an invitation for him, Meghan Markle<\/a>, and their children to spend \u201cfamily time\u201d at Sandringham in July, which in part is because the Duke of Sussex continues to fight in court over his UK security arrangements.<\/p>\n

But HELLO! argued that the way this message got out did not help. The magazine described it as an unusual move for someone who often criticizes the British press and asks for privacy, with one of King Charles\u2019 insiders suggesting that Harry should keep discussions like this out of the public eye. In that, they explained, \u201cIf Harry truly wishes to see his father, he would do well to encourage his supporters to allow such matters to be discussed privately, since low trust and bitter experience in this regard remains one of the principal barriers to progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notably, King Charles last saw Archie and Lilibet in person during the late Queen\u2019s Platinum Jubilee in 2022. Since then, Harry\u2019s memoir \u201cSpare\u201d and other public disputes have deepened the separation, even as the King and Harry have made small efforts, including a tea meeting at Clarence House last September.<\/p>\n

What the report suggests now is that if Prince Harry<\/a> plans for the reunion to happen, less media coverage might work in his favor.<\/p>\n
