{"id":516421,"date":"2026-04-06T20:17:10","date_gmt":"2026-04-06T20:17:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/516421\/"},"modified":"2026-04-06T20:17:10","modified_gmt":"2026-04-06T20:17:10","slug":"weymouth-to-waterloo-trains-disrupted-due-to-incident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/516421\/","title":{"rendered":"Weymouth to Waterloo trains disrupted due to incident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The disruption has affected trains running between Weymouth and London Waterloo.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It comes as an incident took place near the railway between\u00a0Andover and Basingstoke with all lines between Salisbury and Basingstoke closed whilst emergency services were on the scene.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesperson for South Western Railway (SWR) said: &#8220;Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident near the railway between Andover and Basingstoke, all lines are blocked.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Train services running through these stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In the latest update, SWR said: &#8220;We can confirm that all lines reopened at 4.45pm. Trains are starting to return to normal, but customers should expect delays and cancellations until around 8pm.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It is not yet known what the nature of the incident was.
