Mikel Arteta faced the media on Monday evening ahead of Arsenal\u2019s UEFA Champions League tie against Sporting.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, the Gunners held an open training session.<\/p>\n

Gabriel Magalhaes (\u00a37.2m), who hobbled out of Saturday\u2019s cup defeat to Southampton with a knee issue,<\/a> was sighted.<\/p>\n

So too were Declan Rice (\u00a37.3m) and Leandro Trossard (\u00a36.6m), who failed to feature at St Mary\u2019s. They had previously pulled out of their respective national team squads.<\/a><\/p>\n

And, as expected, Arteta confirmed those three are all available for Tuesday\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

Not seen by the Sky Sports cameras, however, were Bukayo Saka (\u00a39.8m), Jurrien Timber (\u00a36.3m), Eberechi Eze (\u00a37.2m) and Piero Hincapie (\u00a35.1m).<\/p>\n

Saka, like Rice, had withdrawn from the England squad over the international break. Hincapie suffered a muscle issue while representing Ecuador.<\/p>\n

As for Timber and Eze, they are carrying injuries that saw them miss the EFL Cup final in mid-March. Arteta had said the Dutchman was \u201cin contention\u201d<\/a> for Saturday\u2019s cup tie but he failed to feature. There are suggestions from usually reliable sources on social media that Eze could recover for Gameweek 32, <\/a>even though the watching press didn\u2019t see him on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

While we didn\u2019t get fresh updates on Hincapie and Timber, Arteta did comment on Saka and Timber.<\/p>\n
