Google today released a new app on iOS called \u201cGoogle AI Edge Eloquent<\/a>\u201d that\u2019s rather curious. It\u2019s somewhere between an experiment and a user-facing tool.<\/p>\n Google AI Edge Eloquent lets you \u201cturn raw messy speech into well crafted text.\u201d As you start talking, you see a real-time transcription and waveform with the ability to pause.<\/p>\n Once you press the stop button, Google will clean up the text and automatically copy it to your clipboard for easy pasting in other apps.\u00a0<\/p>\n Tools let you see the Key points as bullets, and make the text more Formal, Short, or Long. You also see Usage stats like how many words and your words per minute count.\u00a0<\/p>\n \tAdvertisement – scroll for more content<\/p>\n In the top-right corner, a toggle lets you enable a \u201cfully offline\u201d mode where conversations don\u2019t leave your device. Enabling Gemini lets you \u201cenhance text polishing.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n The History tab shows everything you\u2019ve transcribed with the ability to delete. In Dictionaries, you can \u201cadd names or jargon you use often to improve accuracy.\u201d This includes signing in with your Google Account to import such words from your recently sent Gmail messages.<\/p>\n \t\t Google says this app offers \u201cvoice dictation without subscriptions\u201d and that there\u2019s \u201cno cap\u201d in terms of usage.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cAI Edge\u201d is Google\u2019s branding for on-device AI experiences. Eloquent joins the existing Google AI Edge Gallery (Android<\/a> + iOS<\/a>) app that lets you download the latest version of Gemma, and got a big update with last week\u2019s model launch<\/a>.<\/p>\n At the moment, we\u2019re not seeing Google AI Edge Eloquent in the Play Store.
