Rapper Offset<\/a> is hospitalized after being shot in Florida, his spokesperson told USA TODAY on Monday, April 6.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the 34-year-old Migos founder, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, confirmed that the musician was “shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” adding that “he is stable and being closely monitored.”<\/p>\n

The Seminole Police Department confirmed in a statement to USA TODAY that the office is “aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”<\/p>\n

The statement continued: “Seminole Police were on site immediately, and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police.”<\/p>\n

No additional information about the arrests was made available.<\/p>\n

While the investigation into the incident is “ongoing,” according to police, “The site is secure and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”<\/p>\n

Offset has six children, three of whom he shares with ex Cardi B<\/a> \u2014 Kulture, 7; Wave, 4; and Blossom, 1. The on-again-off-again couple married in 2017 and initiated divorce proceedings in 2024.<\/p>\n

In November 2022, Offset’s fellow Migos member Takeoff, 28, died after being shot outside a Houston<\/a> bowling alley. Patrick Clark, who has maintained his innocence amid charges in connection with the fatal shooting, will go to trial in November, according to the Houston Chronicle<\/a> and Click2Houston<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Speaking to USA TODAY<\/a> in 2024, Offset admitted the pain of Takeoff’s death “never” goes away.<\/p>\n

“I just keep pushing and keeping a positive thought process because that\u2019s what he would want me to do,” he said. “I pray and keep family close. I hear him talking to me here and there and giving me signs to keep pushing. He\u2019s literally on my dresser [in a photo] everywhere I go.”<\/p>\n
