The 30-year-old made his Black and Whites debut back in 2015 against Castleford Tigers and has gone on to play 199 games for his hometown outfit.

Expecting to hit the milestone against St Helens on April 16, Fash is hoping to pass his return to play protocols after being stood down ahead of last week’s derby with a late head injury picked up in the Catalans Dragons victory.

But after serving the mandatory 11-day standdown, Fash should be good to go, with teammate Asiata, who was dealt a crushing injury blow in the derby last week, paying tribute to the former West Hull junior, who is also celebrating a testimonial year in 2026.

“Brad has been class,” Asiata said. “He’s a different character. He’s one of the loudest in the group. He speaks his mind, but he’s full of energy, and I love playing alongside Brad because you know what you’re going to get.

“He goes flying in from any direction to make sure that he’s there for his teammate. He’s a top bloke to have in this squad, and you know, for him to be a Hull lad and be able to reach 200 games, it’s a great milestone.”

Fash is currently the club’s longest-serving player and now has a key role to play in the development of young up-and-coming talent. On that role, Asiata added: “He’s leading them in the right direction for sure.

“He’s just good for the group to create that energy, especially with the young boys, and that’s what we need. Some of us old guys are probably a bit too serious, but you know, those guys keep the place one where you enjoy coming in every single day. It’s a pleasure to be alongside those guys every week.”

Brad Fash is hoping to play his 200th Hull FC game against St Helens.
