A frustrated Ryan Carr warned that he will be making changes at Castleford Tigers, irrespective of players\u2019 contract status, with the Australian deeply unimpressed with his side\u2019s performance in defeat to Wakefield Trinity.<\/p>\n

Castleford played and hosted the final game of Rivals Round with the Tigers being beaten 34-0<\/a> in front of a sold-out home crowd with their collapse coming off the back of Jason Qareqare\u2019s disallowed try at around the 20th minute.<\/p>\n

From then, Carr accused his players of showcasing a \u2018victim mentality\u2019<\/a> with a big focus of his criticism being on the fact that his side were \u2018dominated\u2019 physically.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, I\u2019m finding out a lot about certain individuals as we go and as we continue to go through this journey,\u201d Carr said in his post-match presser, shared to the club\u2019s YouTube<\/a> channel.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe knew there were going to be some bumps in the road but I\u2019ve spoken to the team about if it continues to happen then we\u2019ll make changes.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carr will have a week to mull over what changes he makes with the club already out of the Challenge Cup, having lost to St Helens in round four of the competition.<\/p>\n

Speaking further on his plans for change, Carr said:\u201dI don\u2019t care what people\u2019s contracts are or anything, I\u2019m just going to make changes. That\u2019s what I\u2019m here for. It\u2019s not a threat, it\u2019s just the reality of where we\u2019re at as a group.\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked if that meant new recruits, Carr admitted:\u00a0\u201cWe just can\u2019t. Quotas and obviously every club is going through injuries. We had two loan players playing for us today who are going to go back to their club after today.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re at round seven and it\u2019s probably a bit early to be bringing in loan players but for whatever reason, it is what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carr also called for caution on the idea of writing the season off, stating:\u00a0\u201cIt was always going to be a tough year because the change of roster and we\u2019ve got to continue to build that. There\u2019s a lot of work being done in the background on \u201927 but we can\u2019t just let this go, or today or the week after. It\u2019s really important that we go after every game.\u201d<\/p>\n
