Manchester City have made Elliot Anderson one of their top summer transfer targets and are growing increasingly confident when it comes to their chances of landing the England star<\/p>\n

Manchester City believe they have won the race to sign Elliot Anderson.<\/p>\n

City bosses made the England and Nottingham Forest<\/a> midfielder one of their main summer targets. And Etihad chiefs are confident of landing Anderson in a \u00a365m deal.<\/p>\n

Anderson is a target of a host of clubs<\/a>, including Manchester United<\/a>, Chelsea<\/a> and Tottenham<\/a>. But it\u2019s understood City are in pole position to sign him.<\/p>\n

Anderson has let it be known that the Etihad is his preferred choice. And the 23-year-old is expected to leave Forest, irrespective of whether the club avoids relegation or not.<\/p>\n

City are keen to get the deal over the line at the start of the summer, before Anderson heads to the World Cup North America with England. This would avoid the risk of Anderson\u2019s valuation increasing, should he have a successful tournament.<\/p>\n

Anderson has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in the Premier League<\/a> this season. He joined Forest from Newcastle<\/a> in 2024 for around \u00a320m.<\/p>\n

He received his first England call-up in August for World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia, but had to wait until the following month to make his debut in a 2-0 win over Andorra.<\/p>\n

Since then he has been one of Thomas Tuchel’s most impressive performers, and is almost guaranteed to be named in the German’s final World Cup squad.<\/p>\n
