But as we live in an age where every man and his dog is taking GLP-1 drugs like Ozempic<\/a>, some people suspected that this was the route that Hammond had gone down too.<\/p>\n However, the mother-of-one has now set the record straight and laughed off speculation that GLP-1 medication has helped her get into shape.<\/p>\n “People are going to assume anything,” Hammond told The Telegraph<\/a> in a new interview. “They weren\u2019t happy with me being big; they weren\u2019t happy with me being small.”<\/p>\n Hammond said that at one point, she was ‘one point away from being diabetic’. “My mom was diabetic, so I\u2019d seen what a struggle it was,” she said. “I literally needed to be able to walk up the stairs.”<\/p>\n Discovering she was pre-diabetic is what kick-started her weight loss journey, as the former Big Brother<\/a> star explained this sobering news forced her to completely transform her lifestyle<\/a>.<\/p>\n She previously explained that she cut out ‘sweets and fatty foods<\/a>‘, while also exercising regularly – and she has managed to reverse her pre-diabetes<\/a>.<\/p>\n Hammond – who weighed 28 stone at her peak – explained she works out with three personal trainers multiple times a week.<\/p>\n She’s been doing boxing<\/a>, circuit training, weights and reformer Pilates and says she has never felt better.<\/p>\n Hammond has also found the reaction to her weight loss quite hilarious, as she went on to say: “It makes me laugh when I see comments like \u2018Alison is so skinny now\u2019. I\u2019m still overweight! I\u2019m a size 20!<\/p>\n “I\u2019m by far not at my ideal weight for my height. But the main thing is my diabetes is now in the optimum range.”<\/p>\n Asked whether she believes slimming down has impacted her career in any way, Hammond said: “Being fat doesn\u2019t make you funny and being thin doesn\u2019t make you less funny. The only thing I\u2019ve noticed since becoming smaller is that I can take on more work. I don\u2019t get as tired. My mental health<\/a>\u2019s better.
