The newspaper said the woman was not a contestant or professional dancer on the show, but had met the man due to his participation in the competition.<\/p>\n

It is understood the development was not related to the most recent series of Strictly.<\/p>\n

The BBC dance competition, which airs from September to December, is filmed at Elstree Studios in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.<\/p>\n

In a statement on Tuesday, Hertfordshire Police said: “There will be no criminal charges brought against an individual arrested by Hertfordshire Constabulary in London on Monday 13 October 2025 on suspicion of rape.<\/p>\n

“The man, who had his bail extended on Tuesday 6 January until today, Tuesday 7 April 2026, to allow further enquiries to take place, will face no further action.<\/p>\n

“Early advice was sought from the Crown Prosecution Service, but detectives determined that there was insufficient evidence to bring forward criminal charges.”<\/p>\n

The unnamed star’s arrest last October came after another man involved with the hit BBC dance show was also arrested on suspicion of rape<\/a> two months earlier, in August.<\/p>\n

The Metropolitan Police said at the time the man was also suspected of “non-consensual intimate image abuse”.<\/p>\n

It is not known what role that individual had in the programme.<\/p>\n
