Since the March 2026 update was a Feature Drop packing several notable changes, this month&#8217;s build focuses only on bug fixes.<\/p>\n<p>Based on Google&#8217;s release notes, the April 2026 update for Pixels fixes an underlying issue that led to games crashing on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidpolice.com\/google-pixel-10-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pixel 10<\/a> family. It also includes a fix for Quick Share crashing during file transfer on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidpolice.com\/google-pixel-9-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Pixel 9<\/a> and its Pro siblings.<\/p>\n<p>The full release notes, as shared by Google on its support forums, are as follows:<\/p>\n<p>The April 2026 update includes bug fixes and improvements for Pixel users \u2013 see below for details<\/p>\n<p>                                        Fix for an issue where the Backup menu was missing from System settings in certain conditions*[2]<\/p>\n<p>                                        Fix for an issue that causes certain banking and third-party apps to crash in certain conditions*[1]<\/p>\n<p>                                        Fix for some games to crash in certain conditions*[4]<\/p>\n<p>                                        Fix for an issue where the quick search bar is sometimes missing from the home screen in certain conditions*[1]<\/p>\n<p>                                        Fix for Quick Share to crash during file transfers in certain conditions*[3]<\/p>\n<p>Fixes are available for all supported Pixel devices unless otherwise indicated below. If you can&#8217;t wait, the factory images and the OTA ZIP file are also available for sideload. However, this will require you to know your way around ADB and have access to a PC.<\/p>\n<p>The next big update for Pixels should arrive in June, which should likely be the first stable release of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.androidpolice.com\/android-17-will-fix-some-of-androids-most-annoying-things\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Android 17<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Google has started rolling out the April 2026 update for compatible Pixel phones and tablets.
