Explanation:
\nDo you see the horse’s head? <\/p>\n

What you are seeing is not the famous
\nHorsehead nebula<\/a> toward
\nOrion<\/a>, but
\nrather a fainter nebula that only takes on a
\nfamiliar form<\/a> with deeper imaging. <\/p>\n

The main part of the
\nhere-imaged<\/a>
\nmolecular cloud<\/a> complex is
\nreflection nebula<\/a>
\nIC 4592<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Reflection nebulas are made up of very fine
\ndust<\/a> that normally appears dark but can
\nlook quite blue when reflecting the
\nvisible light<\/a>
\nof energetic nearby stars. <\/p>\n

In this case, the source of much of the reflected light is a star
\nat the eye<\/a> of the
\nhorse<\/a>. <\/p>\n

That star is part of
\nNu Scorpii<\/a>,
\none of the brighter star systems toward the constellation of the Scorpion
\n(Scorpius<\/a>). <\/p>\n

A second
\nreflection nebula<\/a> dubbed
\nIC 4601<\/a> is visible surrounding
\ntwo stars<\/a> just below the image center.<\/p>\n

The featured picture was taken from
\n Sawda Natheel<\/a> in
\n Qatar<\/a>. <\/p>\n
