Prince Harry was reportedly \u201creluctant\u201d to leave the royal family, but wasn\u2019t given much choice by his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, after she issued a harsh ultimatum to him. <\/p>\n
Hugo Vickers, a writer who\u2019s a longtime friend of the royal family, recounts Prince Harry\u2019s mounting frustrations with his family<\/a> before his and his wife Meghan Markle\u2019s resignations as royals<\/a> in his new book, \u201cQueen Elizabeth II.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n When the Duke and Duchess of Sussex fled London to Canada in 2019, Harry was \u201ckeen to discuss a way forward with the Queen\u201d upon his return, Vickers writes. In Public.
