Justin Trudeau<\/a>\u2019s son, Xavier Trudeau, has given his seal of approval to his father\u2019s girlfriend, Katy Perry<\/a>, saying that seeing photos of the couple online is just like seeing pictures of his own parents together. <\/p>\n

The 18-year-old singer \u2014 who is the eldest son of Justin and his ex-wife Sophie Gr\u00e9goire<\/a> \u2014 confessed that he isn\u2019t bothered by the \u201cnoise\u201d about his dad\u2019s love life during Wednesday\u2019s episode of the Can\u2019t Be Censored podcast. <\/p>\n

He said that seeing pictures of Justin and Perry together is just like \u201cany other picture of my dad and my mom or just my dad.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cMy life is so crazy sometimes,\u201d Xavier continued. \u201cSometimes I just sit there, and I\u2019m staring at the ceiling like, \u2018What is my life?\u2019 What the hell?\u2019 I just laugh. The reality of it is, it’s my life. What can I do? What can I change?\u201d <\/p>\n

Xavier said that his own relationship with Perry has blossomed to the point of seeking career advice from the \u201cFirework\u201d singer.<\/a> \u201cWhen I\u2019m really happy with a song, [I] send it [to her],\u201d he said. \u201cShe\u2019s always happy to give me advice or tell me what I should change.\u201d<\/p>\n

Xavier first spoke about his dad\u2019s \u201ccool\u201d girlfriend in a February Instagram video with content creator G Hobs.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe talked for hours, talking about my music,\u201d he said. \u201cShe gave me advice and next steps for me and stuff.\u201d <\/p>\n

The 18-year-old launched his music career under the name Xav and released his debut single, \u201cTil The Nights Done,\u201d in February 2025. He then released two other songs last year, \u201cEverything I Know\u201d and \u201cBack Me Up.\u201d <\/p>\n

Xavier is the eldest child of Gr\u00e9goire and Justin, who split in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple also share Ella-Grace, 17, and Hadrien, 12. <\/p>\n

Perry and Justin first sparked romance rumors in July 2025 when they were seen dining together at a restaurant in Montreal<\/a>, Canada. They went Instagram official in December, days after their first diplomatic date as a couple. At the time, the former prime minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida, shared a photo of himself and his wife, Yuko, meeting Perry and Justin for lunch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In January, the two made their first major public appearance as a couple while attending the World Economic Forum in Davos. <\/p>\n

Perry was previously in a long-term relationship with Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares five-year-old daughter Daisy Dove Bloom.
