Hollyoaks<\/a> star Jessica Fox has revealed she had to go to hospital after a nasty on-set accident recently. One involving a bottle of wine.<\/p>\n

The actor, who’s played Nancy Osborne on the Channel 4 soap since 2005, revealed on TikTok<\/a> that she’s not been posting too much lately because she’s injured her hand.<\/p>\n

“During a scene, I tripped holding a wine bottle, and I smashed it on my hand,” she explained.<\/p>\n

“I had to go a walk-in centre and they sent me to A&E and I have to say the service was absolutely phenomenal but it did mean I needed to have some stitches in this hand,” she added.<\/p>\n

The soap star showed the camera that her fingers were still bandaged up a week later and said it “still stings quite a lot”.<\/p>\n

“I literally squeezed it for some unknown reason and it was like a white hot pain went through my entire body.”

Fox called the whole situation “a f**king farce” and admitted was irritated that the hand she injured was, unfortunately, her dominant one.<\/p>\n

The actor added that this was “the straw that broke the camel’s back” after catching a sinus infection from her son River, and needing to go on a course of antibiotics.<\/p>\n

In the casual video, she still had a bit of a cough and was a tad sniffly, but said she feels like she is seeing “the light” after all of her recent ordeals. <\/p>\n

“You’ve got to laugh, haven’t you?” she concluded.<\/p>\n

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming<\/a> premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.<\/p>\n
