If 007 First Light sticks the landing next month, it could prove to be a GOTY contender.<\/p>\n

IO Interactive\u2019s upcoming release is a surefire recipe for monumental success.<\/p>\n

The game is based upon a beloved IP, features slick Uncharted-esque combat, plus boasts one of the most stacked casts you\u2019ll likely see in gaming this year.<\/p>\n

With Patrick Gibson, Lennie James, Gemma Chan, and Lenny Kravitz all scheduled to appear, 007 First Light isn\u2019t short of star power.<\/p>\n

The game is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X\/S, Nintendo Switch 2<\/a>, and PC on 27 May but a report has surfaced suggesting that the game will never see the light of day on one of those platforms.<\/p>\n

According to Ieaker Graczdari, as spotted<\/a> by PPE.pl, 007 First Light\u2019s Nintendo Switch 2 port has been \u201cdelayed\u201d indefinitely.<\/p>\n

Graczdari posted a screenshot reportedly taken from an internal shipping system which listed 007 First Light on \u201cSwitch 2\u201d simply as \u201cDELAYED\u201d.<\/p>\n

UPDATE: IO Interactive has now confirmed the delay, announcing that the Nintendo Switch 2 port will instead arrive later this summer. The following statement was released, “007 First Light comes to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X\/S, and PC on May 27th, 2026, and Nintendo Switch 2 later this summer. We’re excited to see players discovering James Bond’s reimagined origin story, and we are looking forward to bringing you the best game experience possible across all platforms.” The remainder of the original story remains below.<\/p>\n

\"007IOIIt\u2019s Not The First Time 007 First Light Has Been Subject To A Delay<\/p>\n

The leaker didn\u2019t share any other information so it\u2019s unknown why the port may have been delayed. For now, there\u2019s no alternative release date either, so the delay is indefinite.<\/p>\n

Of course, a leak such as this one should be taken with a hefty pinch of salt; IO Interactive is yet to comment on the matter so as far as the public is concerned, the game remains on track.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s perhaps worth pointing out that Graczdari does have a decent track record having leaked release dates for Starfield and Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on PlayStation.<\/p>\n

If what the leaker is saying is true, it\u2019s perhaps the case that 007 First Light simply needs a touch more finesse on the Nintendo Switch 2.<\/p>\n

The Nintendo Switch 2 is not to be underestimated when it comes to the performance of third-party games.<\/p>\n

It recently ran, for example, Resident Evil Requiem very well, so it shouldn\u2019t struggle with a comparative offering like 007 First Light.<\/p>\n

By all accounts though, devs must be running into some kind of issue if news of this delay is confirmed as real.<\/p>\n

As far as we\u2019re aware, all other versions of 007 First Light very much remain on track to launch next month.<\/p>\n
