Thieves broke into cash machines at a supermarket in Bude overnight and stole money from inside.<\/p>\n

The thefts took place at Morrisons on Stucley Road at around 1am this morning (Thursday, April 9), Devon and Cornwall Police<\/a> said.<\/p>\n

An alarm at the store was activated, alerting police. Police say the thieves used tools to force entry to the ATMs and believe a blue car was involved in the crime.<\/p>\n

The force is appealing for information from anyone who saw what happened or who might have seen a “suspicious” blue vehicle.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for the Bude<\/a> neighbourhood team said: “We are appealing for information from the community following a theft from cash machines in Bude overnight.<\/p>\n

“Officers were called at 1am to reports of an alarm activation at Morrison\u2019s on Stucley Road in Bude.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s believed that tools have been used to force entry to the machines outside the shop and that cash has been taken.<\/p>\n

“At this time, we believe that a blue car is involved and we are working to establish the make and model.<\/p>\n

“We are in the early stages of our investigation and looking to establish the circumstances and gather as much information which may assist us.<\/p>\n

“Anyone who witnessed any suspicious behaviour or vehicles in the area around this time is asked to report it to us. We\u2019d also ask the community in the area to check dash-cam and doorbell footage from overnight.<\/p>\n

“More information will be provided as we have it confirmed and ask that people report information directly to us by calling 101 or via our website quoting log 26 of 9\/4\/26.<\/p>\n
