PC gamers believe they\u2019ve found the second-coming of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim via this free download.<\/p>\n

Bethesda has its work cut out for it with The Elder Scrolls VI, which over eight years after its initial announcement still hasn\u2019t received a gameplay reveal.<\/p>\n

During that time several alternatives and competitors have been developed, like one that\u2019s set to launch in June for less than your typical AAA game.<\/p>\n

One alternative that everyone has been talking about recently though is Crimson Desert,<\/a> which boasts an impressive open-world sandbox that rivals The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in its creative freedom.<\/p>\n

Forget The Elder Scrolls VI, We Have Skyrim 2 Already <\/p>\n

The game is made even better with this latest PC freebie, which brings a brand-new suite of customisation tools that the game was sorely lacking.<\/p>\n

By downloading Character Creator – Female from<\/a> NexusMods you\u2019ll finally be able to make a custom character of your own rather than simply playing as Kliff.<\/p>\n

It uses the in-game barber and comes pre-loaded with 98 face presets and over 150 different hair styles.<\/p>\n

Obviously the big change is the ability to change your gender, and if you\u2019re worried Kliff\u2019s voice lines won\u2019t sound right coming out of a woman\u2019s mouth you can download another mod to fix that too.<\/p>\n

The only caveat is once you start a new game you won\u2019t be able to customise your character straight away, but after progressing through the story enough you\u2019ll eventually unlock the barbershop and start putting your character together.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing only a female customisation mod exists but there\u2019s apparently a male mod on the way, dropping later today as a matter of fact.<\/p>\n

These new, free customisation options have attracted a lot of attention from players on PC, like Brator on X who\u2019s hailing the game as \u201cSkyrim 2\u201d now that we can run our own custom-characters.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a bold statement but not entirely unfounded. Crimson Desert has put so many open-world games to shame with a map that\u2019s actually worth exploring.<\/p>\n

The variety of tools players can utilise to interact with the environment is truly remarkable and it\u2019s definitely going to be a contender for this year\u2019s Game of the Year award even with tough competition like Grand Theft Auto VI.<\/p>\n
