Roger Waters<\/a> has put out a call for a singer to front his son Harry Waters\u2019 band on an upcoming Pink Floyd<\/a> tribute tour.<\/p>\n

That reads like a bit of a tongue twister, but it\u2019s all true. The former Pink Floyd singer-bassist is spearheading an open audition for an aspiring singer to handle lead vocals on a tour planned for next year. The tour is titled \u201cRoger Waters Presents LEGACY \u2013 A Pink Floyd Show Performed by the Harry Waters Band,\u201d with the tagline, \u201cThe Father\u2019s Legacy, the Son\u2019s Band.\u201d<\/p>\n

The elder Waters put out the following statement on his social media channels:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy son Harry Waters has put a great band and show together to go on the road next year to pay tribute to the music from the golden era of Pink Floyd, and maybe a couple of songs from my subsequent solo career. Harry\u2019s band is missing one thing: The voice I had when I was young.<\/p>\n

Back in the day, I could sing everything from the soft urgency of \u2018Hello, is there anybody in there?\u2019 from \u2018Comfortably Numb,\u2019 to the high-pitched scream of \u2018You know how I need you to beat to a pulp on a Saturday night\u2019 from \u2018Don\u2019t Leave Me Now.\u2019<\/p>\n

Can you do that? Are you that missing voice? If you are, this is your chance. This is an open invitation to audition for Harry\u2019s band. I\u2019m serious.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement is accompanied by a video message from Roger, who reiterates, \u201cHarry has a great band put together for next year, but there\u2019s one missing link: somebody who can sing everything that I could sing 50 years ago.\u201d<\/p>\n

As of now, no dates have been announced for the 2027 tour, but aspiring singers can submit an audition tape on Harry Waters\u2019 website<\/a> through April 30th.<\/p>\n

The band will feature Harry on keyboards and organ, and Graham Broad on drums, among others, with the promise of an \u201cexciting new legacy show, full of classic Pink Floyd hits for every generation.\u201d<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Harry was fired from Roger Waters\u2019 band<\/a> a few years back, and started playing shows with the tribute act Brit Floyd instead. It appears that the father and son have since set aside any differences they may have had.<\/p>\n
