A child is believed to have died as a result of a dog bite following an incident in Dormanstown<\/a>. Cleveland Police<\/a> was called to Hardale Drive shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday, April 9.<\/p>\n The force had been called following reports over concerns for a child. Upon arriving at the property, the child had sadly died.<\/p>\n The youngster is believed to have died as a result of a dog bite. Armed officers attended and one dog was destroyed on the street while another dog at the property has been recovered by police.<\/p>\n District Commander, for Redcar<\/a> and Cleveland, Emily Harrison said: \u201cUnderstandably this is a distressing and tragic incident, and our thoughts are with the child\u2019s family.
