Jamie Redknapp was amazed by West Ham\u2019s performance in their 4-0 victory over Wolves on Friday night.<\/p>\n

The Hammers had the perfect start to the weekend, scoring four goals, keeping a clean sheet and overtaking Tottenham in the table.<\/p>\n

Redknapp<\/a> has now highlighted two key players who give West Ham an advantage over Spurs in the relegation battle<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Jamie Redknapp compares West Ham\u2019s centre-backs to Tottenham\u2019s<\/p>\n

Dinos Mavropanos<\/a> earned the Player of the Match award for his superb display against Wolves, scoring an unexpected brace.<\/p>\n

At the other end, Mavropanos and Disasi<\/a> defended brilliantly to keep just their fifth clean sheet of the league campaign.<\/p>\n

Redknapp compared them to Spurs\u2019 Christian Romero and Mickey van de Ven, suggesting West Ham have the better duo.<\/p>\n

According to Redknapp, Mavropanos and Disasi are better suited to defending for teams in a relegation battle.<\/p>\n

\u201cMavropanos and Disasi look like a real partnership,\u201d Redknapp told Sky Sports<\/a>. \u201cThey are the sort you want in a relegation fight.\u00a0And even though they are better players, I\u2019m not sure those two centre-backs at Tottenham are. <\/p>\n

\u201cThey think they\u2019re too good for a relegation fight. Romero\u2019s saying: \u2018I\u2019ve won the World Cup and now we\u2019re in the bottom three.\u2019 What they\u2019re going to be doing under De Zerbi is he\u2019ll be asking to play out the back, take risks in your six-yard box. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhat West Ham know is their limitations; they don\u2019t take too many risks. Nottingham Forest and Leeds are like that as well. This is not the time to be thinking you\u2019re a better player than what you are. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is the time to play to your maximum, show your desire, head it and tackle. You need moments from top players, but this is a time for cool heads. That\u2019s what West Ham have shown here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Romero and Van de Ven certainly have higher market values, but they have not stepped up during Spurs\u2019 dismal recent run.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, West Ham have as much confidence in Mavropanos and Disasi as they have in any centre-back pairing for years.<\/p>\n

They also have Jean-Clair Todibo on the bench<\/a>, giving them a solid platform to build on in the final stretch of the season.<\/p>\n
