A harrowing clip has resurfaced where Charlotte Church<\/a> confronted Chris Moyles<\/a> about the offer he made when she was 15 to take her virginity.<\/p>\n In 2007, DJ Moyles appeared on The Charlotte Church Show, the Channel 4<\/a> programme that the singer hosted from 2006 until 2008.<\/p>\n During his appearance, Church brought up a moment from 2002, the year she celebrated her 16th birthday.<\/p>\n \u2018We haven\u2019t always been so close, do you remember why?\u2019 she asked Moyles, now 52.<\/p>\n \u2018Well, yeah, but that was, that was, it wasn\u2019t\u2026\u2019 he stuttered in response.<\/p>\n Church, now 40, went on: \u2018Why don\u2019t you explain your behaviour Chris, and stop babbling?\u2019<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \t\t \u2018Right, once you were young\u2026\u2019 Moyles began, before Church interrupted to ask: \u2018How young?\u2019<\/p>\n \u2018You were under 16. And then\u2026\u2019 he stated, to which the host remarked: \u2018I call that 15.\u2019<\/p>\n Moyles continued: \u2018Yeah, 15, but then you were gonna be 16, and I offered to take your virginity.\u2019<\/p>\n Church looked out at the audience as they gasped in response to Moyles\u2019 admission.<\/p>\n \u2018What exactly did you say?\u2019 she said, asking Moyles to share the details of his offer,<\/p>\n He replied: \u2018Do you know, I think this is actually very sweet. I offered to lead Charlotte through the forest of her own sexuality.\u2019<\/p>\n \t\t As the live studio audience laughed, Church shook her head with disapproval. \u2018A 15-year-old girl,\u2019 she stressed.<\/p>\n \u2018No, you were 16,\u2019 Moyles retorted, before claiming that Church had told him that she was 16.<\/p>\n When Moyles made the lewd comments about Church on his radio<\/a> show in 2002, the Broadcasting Standards Commission said that \u2018the explicit sexual content and humour had exceeded acceptable boundaries for the time of transmission\u2019.<\/p>\n At the time, the BBC<\/a> said that the comments from Moyles were \u2018not meant to be taken seriously\u2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 2023, Church opened up on the Channel 4 TV show Kathy Burke: Growing Up about how the controversy had made her feel<\/a>.<\/p>\n After saying she felt as though she became \u2018fair game\u2019 as she was turning 16, she responded to the Moyles clip directly, stating: \u2018Of course, it wasn\u2019t good. At least it was out in the open.
