A major route into Bristol city centre is partially blocked during rush hour after a reported oil spill.<\/p>\n
Lanes are closed at Lawrence Hill Roundabout this morning (Monday, April 13) as motorists are urged to avoid the area where possible and “expect long delays”.<\/p>\n
TravelWest advised via X just before 7.30am: “Lawrence Hill Roundabout Northbound at Junction with Easton Road Lanes 2 and 3 and the Northern U-turn Lanes 1 and 2 at Easton Way are closed for Emergency Works. Plan ahead, Use Alternative Routes & Expect Long Delays”.<\/p>\n
Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, also reported the blocked road. It said: “A4320 Easton Way partially blocked, slow traffic due to oil spillage at A420 Easton Road (Lawrence Hill roundabout). On the roundabout.”<\/p>\n
Traffic sensors are showing huge tailbacks at all approaches to the roundabout, with St Philips Causeway looking particularly congested.<\/p>\n
