The Man City star took to social media after Man United’s defeat<\/p>\n
Erling Haaland responded to Manchester United’s <\/a>defeat to Leeds United with a two\u2011word message on social media. Noah Okafor scored both goals for the visitors, while Lisandro Martinez <\/a>was also sent off.<\/p>\n Casemiro pulled one back, but it wasn’t enough to change the outcome, with United suffering just their second defeat under Michael Carrick<\/a>. After the match, Manchester City<\/a> striker Haaland<\/a> posted on Snapchat, sharing a picture of Okafor at full\u2011time alongside the caption: “Get in.”<\/p>\n The striker, who was born in Leeds, appears to be celebrating the win of the club his father Alf\u2011Inge once played for. As the camera focused on him, the Switzerland international shouted: “Let\u2019s go! For f****’s sake, come on!”<\/p>\n The defeat leaves United third, but they are now level on 55 points with Aston Villa, who drew 1-1 at Nottingham Forest on Sunday. It also means they have failed to extend the gap between themselves and sixth\u2011placed Chelsea<\/a> in the race for Champions League<\/a> football.<\/p>\n Five Premier League<\/a> teams are set to qualify automatically for the Champions League, but the league could gain a sixth place if Aston Villa finish fifth and win the Europa League<\/a>.<\/p>\n Speaking after the game, United interim head coach Carrick conceded: “We didn’t start the game particularly well. We obviously conceded when Leny Yoro gets a forearm smash in the back of the head and they score the first goal.<\/p>\n “They didn’t decide to overturn that decision. That was a big moment in the game. We didn’t quite have the rhythm, we didn’t click, we had some moments but it wasn’t quite there for large parts of the first half.<\/p>\n “But second half, I thought the boys the way they went about it, stayed positive and fought to get something out of it after another shocking, shocking decision to send [Lisandro Martinez] off.<\/p>\n “Two games in a row we’ve had decisions like that go against us but that one was one of the worst I’ve seen.”<\/p>\n Meanwhile, City secured an important win over Chelsea in response to Arsenal’s 2-1 home defeat to Bournemouth.
