The Sony panel revealed a new exclusive scene for attendees, which a holographic Tom Holland prefaced as being the most \u201cgrown-up\u201d and \u201cemotional\u201d Spider-Man movie ever made.<\/p>\n<p>The scene is unlikely to be released to the public (as is always the case with CinemaCon), but thanks to the press on the ground, we have a description. The scene, which sees Jacob Batalon\u2019s Ned Leeds reunited with Holland\u2019s Peter Parker, showed Peter following Ned to his apartment and discovering that he is trying to find out who Spider-Man is. Read on for the description.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"576\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Paul-and-MJ-in-Spider-Man-Brand-New-Day.jpg\" alt=\"Paul and MJ in Spider-Man Brand New Day\" class=\"wp-image-1623448\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The scene opens with Holland\u2019s Peter Parker at a bodega where he spots Batalon\u2019s Ned Leeds and follows him to the party we saw in the trailer. It\u2019s then revealed that Ned has created a \u201cSpider-Tracker\u201d app to work out Spider-Man\u2019s true identity. He has narrowed it down to Mr Harrington (Martin Starr) or Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori). Next up, Zendaya\u2019s MJ appears, and Peter introduces himself as \u201cMaynard\u201d. The trailer shot of MJ then kissing her boyfriend (played by Eman Esfandi) follows. <\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re really getting the Paul storyline that was so\u2026 popular with comic book fans \u2013 even if his name hasn\u2019t yet been confirmed. Peter\u2019s name, \u201cMaynard,\u201d is an interesting choice given his aunt was called May, and if you\u2019re looking for any comic reference, the second incarnation of sometime Spider-Man villain Ring-Master\u2019s real name was Maynard Tiboldt. That has absolutely nothing to do with Brand New Day, but it\u2019s a strange enough name to send anyone scurrying for their big books of Marvel lore.
