Sydney Sweeney has been called out by viewers of Euphoria over a scene they’ve dubbed as \u2018feeding into\u2019 a sickening \u2018kink\u2019.<\/p>\n

Season three of the hit HBO show<\/a> is here, and people have been lapping it up as the cast reprises their roles after what feels like years since the second season ended.<\/p>\n

However, Sweeney<\/a>, the actor who plays Cassie in Euphoria<\/a>, has come under fire for a specific scene in the latest instalment that had people saying \u2018f***\u2019 more times than I can count.<\/p>\n

The heat on social media comes months after the 28-year-old star’s controversy surrounding her American Eagle jeans<\/a> advert, which took centre stage before the show was revived for its likely-to-be final season.<\/p>\n

But Sweeney isn\u2019t the only one to be lashed out at, as the show\u2019s producer, Sam Levinson, has also caught some flak too.<\/p>\n

Now that the show is here, fans have been able to see just what happened to Rue (Zendaya<\/a>), Cassie, Maddy (Alexa Demie) and Nate (Jacob Elordi), as well as other OG characters once the curtains closed on their school lives.<\/p>\n

Perhaps unsurprisingly for most, it came out pretty quickly that Cassie turned to making adult content, however, it appeared to be behind the back of Nate, who is now her hubby.<\/p>\n

While Cassie could be seen posing in various skimpy outfits fitting of adult-tailored requests, one scene saw her sucking on a pacifier, in pigtails, pulling the \u2018happy baby\u2019 yoga pose… wearing what can only be described as a sheer frilly top and white pants akin to a nappy.<\/p>\n

Of course, this caused a stir on social media<\/a>, as some thought it was \u2018playing into a paedophilic fetish\u2019.<\/p>\n

Calling Sweeney \u2018weird\u2019 for even agreeing to the scene, viewers have slammed both her and Levinson for the shot.<\/p>\n

One person on X wrote: \u201cSam levinson is weird as f***for even coming up with this and sydney is weird as f***for not saying no to it.\u201d<\/p>\n

A second scathed: \u201cWhat the actual f***, this is wrong in so many ways. Was the f***ing pacifier needed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Someone else asked: \u201cWhy the f***would Sydney agree to be portrayed like this????? Wtf??????\u201d<\/p>\n

Finally, one user shared: \u201cThe fact that nobody is taking this seriously is pissing me the f*** off??? this is literally feeding into a pedophilia kink what the F***.\u201d<\/p>\n

But there were also those who thought some were being dramatic, with one person writing: \u201cUr weird as f*** for thinking it\u2019s weird as f***.\u201d<\/p>\n

Another said: \u201cBut it’s fiction. It’s a mockery of those who make and consume that kind of stuff. It’s like you complaining that a movie features a corrupt politician or a serial killer.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of its release, Sweeney opened up about her character and the ‘unhinged’ third season of Euphoria.<\/p>\n

She told Empire<\/a>: \u201cI have such a spot in my heart for Cassie, and I hold her really close and dear. She is crazy. She makes so many mistakes. She\u2019s flawed on so many levels, but she does it all from a place of love. It could be a sad version of love, as well. It\u2019s so much fun to play a character that is as crazy as she is. <\/p>\n

\u201cSam [Levinson] is such a brilliant filmmaker to work with, because I\u2019ll read something, then I\u2019ll call him, and I\u2019m like, ‘Let\u2019s go crazier’. And he\u2019s like, ‘I\u2019m all in’. And this season is unhinged.\u201d<\/p>\n
