Former MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace has revealed he is planning on selling his \u201cenormous\u201d Kent home as he \u201ccan\u2019t live the life [he] used to have\u201d.<\/p>\n

The now 61-year-old was sacked by the BBC last July<\/a> following complaints from individuals about historical allegations of misconduct.<\/p>\n

In a video posted to Instagram on Sunday (April 12), he said: \u201cI can\u2019t have the life I used to have, but whether you choose to believe it or not I really wanted to come out of that anyway. Obviously not in the dramatic way that I did.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut now, I\u2019ve got some choices and I\u2019m sure I\u2019m not alone in this.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to ease off a little bit, I want to relax a little bit, but also that comes also with wanting financial security for me and my family, because I\u2019ve got a wife that\u2019s much younger than me and a special needs little boy Sid.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo I want to relax a little bit and at the same time make sure that I can have a certain lifestyle and that I leave a legacy for my family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s not easy to do and I\u2019m sure I\u2019m not alone in this.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo my plans are I think to sell this enormous house, buy a more modest house, work less and spend possibly half the year in Italy making adventures for my family because we love Italy, and possibly homeschooling my little special needs boy as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is believed he is referring to his home in Biddenden, near Tenterden, which has five bedrooms, three reception rooms, a master bedroom suite, a stunning kitchen breakfast room, five acres, stables and a pond.<\/p>\n

The \u00a31million farmhouse is surrounded by picturesque country views<\/a> and boasts a cosy living room with a traditional log fire.<\/p>\n

Four times married, Wallace purchased Priory Wood Farmhouse with his wife Anne-Marie, and their son Sid in 2017.<\/p>\n

The pair married in August 2016 and former MasterChef co-host John Torode served as best man at the wedding at Hever Castle.<\/p>\n

He also previously lived in Seasalter, near Whitstable.<\/p>\n

Wallace began co-presenting MasterChef in 2005, but it was announced in November 2024 that he would step away from his role while misconduct allegations were investigated.<\/p>\n

A review later upheld 45 of the 83 allegations against him, which mostly occurred between 2005 and 2018 and included one of \u201cunwelcome physical contact\u201d.<\/p>\n

It said the \u201cmajority of the substantiated allegations against Mr Wallace related to inappropriate sexual language and humour\u201d, adding that \u201ca smaller number of allegations of other inappropriate language and being in a state of undress were also substantiated\u201d.<\/p>\n
