{"id":530244,"date":"2026-04-14T12:14:08","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T12:14:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/530244\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T12:14:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T12:14:08","slug":"coronation-street-crew-back-in-boltons-le-mans-crescent","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/530244\/","title":{"rendered":"Coronation Street crew back in Bolton&#8217;s Le Mans Crescent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Television crews have set up in Le Mans Crescent, outside the former court building opposite the town hall, a spot once used to film popular ITV drama <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboltonnews.co.uk\/news\/24368122.peaky-blinders-cast-crew-bolton-filming\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Peaky Blinders<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  But today, film crews were on site to shoot scenes for long-running soap opera classic Coronation Street.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>ITV staff outside the old court building on Le Mans Crescent (Image: Dan Dougherty)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Coronation Street is set in the fictional town of Weatherfield, Greater Manchester.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Usually filmed in Salford, Coronation Street crews make regular trips to other areas in the North West.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The Coronation Street crew were last spotted in Bolton in 2025, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboltonnews.co.uk\/news\/25340941.coronation-street-filming-le-mans-crescent-bolton\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">when they were also filming outside Le Mans Crescent<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Many of Coronation Street&#8217;s other classic court scenes have been filmed at Le Mans Crescent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>Film crew outside the old court building on Le Mans Crescent (Image: Dan Dougherty)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In July 2021 and 2022, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theboltonnews.co.uk\/news\/23437235.coronation-street-storyline-filmed-bolton-town-centre\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">trial following the murder of Seb Franklin was shot<\/a> in the old Bolton Magistrates Court on Le Mans Crescent.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  This morning passers-by spotted the famous Newton and Ridley truck.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Although the specifics of the scene are currently unknown, it may have something to do with George Shuttleworth (Tony Maudsley), who is trying to save his business following a smear campaign led by a disgruntled customer Annie.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  George lost his battle against Annie, meaning he was forced to sell his undertaker business, despite pushback from the Weatherfield community.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  George was ready to sell, but upon hearing of his successor&#8217;s cold approach to the business George holds so closely to his heart, he changed his mind and refused the offer.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>ITV staff outside the old court building on Le Mans Crescent (Image: Dan Dougherty)\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  More recently, Christina Boyd (Amy Robbins) has been trying to convince George to start an ad campaign in the Weatherfield Gazette.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Or it may have something to do with the upcoming wedding between Carla Connor (Alison King) and Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers), as a flash-forward episode in February revealed there will be a murder on the big day.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The flash-forward episode showed the aftermath of the wedding &#8211;
