\n Felsted Railway Station, which closed completely in 1964, sat on the Bishop\u2019s Stortford-Dunmow-Braintree branch which worked to get Essex produce quickly into London markets.\n<\/p>\n
\n The main station building in Pit Cottages, Station Road survives today as a private house and the old track bed forms part of the Flitch Way, the popular walking and cycling route along the former branch line.\n<\/p>\n
\n Locals have noticed the site has become overrun with fly tipping, with photos showing almost a dozen mattresses, sofas and signposts, household items and heaps of rubbish lining the road.\n<\/p>\n

\n Adian Kelly, 54, lives in Braintree and often cycles or runs through the Flitch Way route, sometimes to Felsted Railway Station.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s been getting worse over years,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s just become derelict. It\u2019s been used recently as a fly tipping site.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Kelly said the site may have become known as a place for fly tippers to dump their rubbish.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cRayne Station is the same type of building and it\u2019s got a use as a caf\u00e9,\u201d he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s a shame Felsted Station is forgotten about. It\u2019s very sad to see it in that state.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Mr Kelly said he hadn\u2019t yet personally reported the fly tipping, but that he believed Uttlesford Council must be aware.\n<\/p>\n
