{"id":531020,"date":"2026-04-14T21:47:07","date_gmt":"2026-04-14T21:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/531020\/"},"modified":"2026-04-14T21:47:07","modified_gmt":"2026-04-14T21:47:07","slug":"eddie-hearn-confirms-whether-joshua-will-face-tyson-fury-next-or-take-a-warm-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/531020\/","title":{"rendered":"Eddie Hearn confirms whether Joshua will face Tyson Fury next or take a warm up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Anthony Joshua remained calm in front of tens of thousands of fans when he was urged by Tyson Fury to confirm their long-awaited fight.<\/p>\n<p>The two British heavyweights have been on parallel tracks for much of their careers, and now, with retirement fast approaching, this is the last chance to make the fight happen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/boxingnewsonline.net\/news\/tyson-fury-makhmudov-live-scorecard\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">After beating Arslanbek Makhmudov by unanimous decision in his comeback bout at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium<\/a>, Fury turned full his focus to Joshua, who had been watching the fight from ringside.<\/p>\n<p>Despite hints throughout the event that the bout would be confirmed that night, \u2018AJ\u2019 instead let fans in on the truth \u2013 his side is not signed yet, though he did say he could still face \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 next. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/sport\/2026\/apr\/12\/tyson-fury-anthony-joshua-arslanbek-makhmudov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">The lack of commitment led Fury to further goad him in the post-fight press conference.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, Eddie Hearn has told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=kqyNyIAS6_M&amp;t=348s\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">IFL TV<\/a> that a fight in the interim is the route they are pursuing, with July targeted before the Fury fight in November. Joshua\u2019s long-term promoter also discussed some finer details that must be addressed, including the broadcast situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this situation, with this rival, [Joshua] will want everything to be absolutely perfect, and so will we. And we\u2019ll get there, but it\u2019s not something that\u2019s done over a couple of days.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDon\u2019t forget, they had a two-fight deal, and we\u2019re having a two-fight deal. Whatever the deal is for each individual, so be it. We\u2019re exclusive to DAZN. That warm-up will be on DAZN and the [Fury] fight will be on Netflix.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s different dynamics to the deal, and every deal is different. We have to make sure there\u2019s a resolution. DAZN are not just AJ\u2019s partners, they\u2019re our partners as well.
