{"id":53176,"date":"2025-08-08T17:40:25","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T17:40:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/53176\/"},"modified":"2025-08-08T17:40:25","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T17:40:25","slug":"refurb-starts-at-mulcaster-house-on-overdale-hospital-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/53176\/","title":{"rendered":"Refurb starts at Mulcaster House on Overdale hospital site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Refurbishment work at a building which forms part of the new hospital site in Jersey has started.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The government said construction work at Mulcaster House had begun as part of the scheme to build the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cly4z3lrxlno\" class=\"ssrcss-f6h2dj-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">\u00a3710m Overdale Acute Hospital in St Helier<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It said, once the renovation was completed, the building would initially serve as a site office during the construction of Overdale before becoming the Health and Care Jersey Facilities Management team&#8217;s base.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The government added that access to Mulcaster House would be restricted during the refurbishment work but overflow parking facilities for the neighbouring crematorium would remain in place on the road leading up to the building.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Refurbishment work at a building which forms part of the new hospital site in Jersey has started.
