Those subscribed to the weekly newsletter typically find an email in their inbox on Tuesday evenings, and in the latest edition Martin Lewis<\/a> followers have been informed of how they can claim free cash, alongside an additional bonus in the form of a voucher.<\/p>\n An article on the MSE website elaborates further, highlighting the “clear winner”.<\/p>\n Banking customers who switch to a First Direct 1st Account and fulfil certain criteria will receive a \u00a3175 payment. There is also a \u00a335 shopping voucher available, though switching accounts<\/a> is not required to claim this.<\/p>\n Describing the account, MSE writers Gavin Shepherd and Chris Collier note that 92% of those surveyed consider it “great”.<\/p>\n It comes with a 7% fixed regular saver, allowing deposits of up to \u00a3300 a month for a year.<\/p>\n The article further states that most customers receive an ongoing \u00a3250 interest-free overdraft, and the account offers “near-perfect” exchange rates for spending abroad.<\/p>\n To qualify for the \u00a3175 cash, you will need to open an account via the app and, within 45 days, switch an existing account with two or more Direct Debits or standing orders.<\/p>\n You will also need to deposit \u00a31,000 or more and make at least five debit card payments. Once these conditions have been satisfied, the \u00a3175 will be credited by the 20th of the following month.<\/p>\n To claim the \u00a335 voucher, you’ll need to open an account through the MSE link. MSE adds: “You’ll get an email where you can claim the voucher within 75 days (which you must then do within 90 days)”.<\/p>\n
