\t\t\t\t\t\tHuddersfield Giants are extremely delighted to welcome Cameron \u201cCammy\u201d Augustine to the team as the new Rugby League Development Officer with specific responsibilities to be the new face of the club within the local amateur club partners<\/p>\n
Cammy\u2019s appointment marks an exciting step forward as\u00a0the investment and\u00a0drive forward under the new ‘Unleashed era’\u00a0gathers pace. The role is solely\u00a0focussed on getting the Giants\u2019\u00a0presence\u00a0out in the community,\u00a0whilst\u00a0striving to forge valuable relationships between the Giants and Community clubs across the region.<\/p>\n
\u00a0The role\u00a0has one clear objective which is\u00a0strengthening connections within the grassroots game across the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking on his appointment, Cammy shared his enthusiasm for joining the\u00a0Claret and Gold:<\/p>\n
“I am incredibly proud to join the Huddersfield Giants Community Trust as the new Rugby League Development Officer. In a town synonymous with the birth of our sport, I am committed to honouring that heritage by building a vibrant future.\u00a0My focus is clear: to bridge the gap between grassroots clubs, local schools and the professional game. By strengthening these pathways, we will ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability has the opportunity to thrive within the Giants and Rugby League\u00a0be they players, coaches, administrators or supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are delighted\u00a0that the Huddersfield Giants Community Trust are able\u00a0to welcome Cameron\u00a0to their ever expanding\u00a0team.\u00a0\u00a0It’s an enormous coup to find a man so recognisable in the local game and with such in depth knowledge of the area.\u00a0This appointment marks an important step\u00a0for the club in\u00a0strengthening our Rugby League offer across Kirklees. His passion for the community game and understanding of the local landscape make him an excellent fit for the role. We are\u00a0extremely\u00a0confident\u00a0that\u00a0he will play a key part in building stronger connections between schools, grassroots clubs and the Huddersfield Giants, helping to grow participation and engagement across Kirklees\u00a0and ultimately spread the gospel of our our great sport and our club.<\/p>\n
Everyone\u00a0connected with the club\u00a0is excited to have Cameron\u00a0on board and\u00a0we\u00a0look forward to the enthusiasm, expertise and fresh ideas he brings\u00a0and he will be the focal point for every amateur club in the area in respect of the Giants.
