Hull KR half-back Danny Richardson has joined Championship side York Knights for the remainder of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

Richardson is currently out injured with the ankle issue he picked up while playing for the Robins<\/a> at Leigh Leopards last month. He is expected to make a return before the end of the season though and will feature for the Knights later in the year as they enter their play-off campaign.<\/p>\n

Game time has been extremely hard to come by for Richardson since making the move to Craven Park permanently in the off-season, making just four outings in red and white. He has also made appearances for Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils during brief loans this year.<\/p>\n

The scrum-half will continue to rehab his injury with the Robins, but when he\u2019s fit and able to, he\u2019ll head to the LNER Community Stadium to join up with Mark Applegarth\u2019s Championship challengers.<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll be keen to hit the ground running and impress with the Knights too, with the potential to pick up silverware. And, speaking on Wednesday afternoon, Hull KR head coach Willie Peters admitted Richardson could remain with York beyond the end of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cDanny will go to York until the end of the season on loan and potentially longer,\u201d the Robins boss said. \u201cHe will still do rehab with us but at the back end of the year, if and when he\u2019s able to play, which he will be, he\u2019ll play for York.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was in today. He\u2019s obviously getting around which is a massive positive that he didn\u2019t have an operation so he\u2019s just rehabbing it now which we\u2019ll do. He\u2019ll end up moving over to York and playing over there later on this season.\u201d<\/p>\n

York will be the seventh club Richardson has represented in his career, having had spells at St Helens, Leigh Leopards and Castleford Tigers before landing in east Hull.<\/p>\n
