West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen could finally be heading to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

The Hammers star has been linked with a move to Anfield for several seasons, but a deal has never materialised.<\/p>\n

However, after Mohamed Salah announced his decision to leave the Reds<\/a> at the end of the season, Bowen<\/a> has become a realistic target.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the winger now looks more likely than ever to join Liverpool after a long-term injury to one of their top attacking players.<\/p>\n

Liverpool\u2019s interest in Jarrod Bowen<\/a> has reportedly become more concrete after they received some major injury news this week.<\/p>\n

Hugo Ekitike was substituted after 32 minutes against Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday after suffering a lower leg injury.<\/p>\n

It turns out that he has suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon \u2013 arguably the worst injury in football \u2013 and will be out for up to 12 months.<\/p>\n

This has forced Liverpool\u2019s hand into targeting multiple attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window.<\/p>\n

According to Flashscore<\/a>, Bowen could \u201center the frame\u201d as a potential new signing, alongside Newcastle\u2019s Anthony Gordon.<\/p>\n

Therefore, West Ham<\/a> could find out within the next month whether Bowen will be at the top of the Reds\u2019 summer shopping list.<\/p>\n

If the Hammers were to be relegated, it would seem inevitable that Bowen would leave the club after six-and-a-half seasons.<\/p>\n

However, if he can keep his side in the Premier League<\/a>, perhaps he may be more inclined to stay at the London Stadium.<\/p>\n

Either way, it will be interesting to see whether Bowen pushes for a move to Anfield if Liverpool make an offer.<\/p>\n
