Former glamour model turned reality TV star Jodie Marsh is set to appear in court after she was charged with assaulting her neighbour during a heated row about her animals<\/p>\n

Jodie Marsh has been charged with assault after allegedly confronting her neighbour over an argument over her animals<\/a>. The ex-glamour model turned reality star reportedly she \u201clost it\u201d and \u201cput her hands on his neck\u201d during the heated encounter.<\/p>\n

The TV star, 47,<\/a> claimed the neighbour in question filmed her animals and doctored clips to make them look \u201cskeletal\u201d after trespassing on her land. Describing the row, she said: \u201cI put my hand on his neck because I leaned in to whisper to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t even remember what I said because I was so upset. It lasted around 30 seconds. I\u2019m scared to sleep in my own house<\/a>. I\u2019m scared to go out.\u201d<\/p>\n

In recent years, Jodie has turned her back on the showbiz world to focus on running Fripps Farm rescue centre, which is located in Lindsell, Essex.<\/p>\n

She is expected to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates\u2019 Court tomorrow (April 17) after being charged with common assault, specifically the use of \u201cthreatening\/abusive\/insulting words\/behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence”.<\/p>\n

This typically carries a maximum sentence of six months in prison.<\/p>\n

Jodie has since insisted she did not hurt her neighbour, telling The Sun: \u201cI didn\u2019t actually injure him in any way.\u201d<\/p>\n

An Essex Police spokesman commented: \u201cAt around 12.40pm on Friday 16 January officers were called to an address in Lindsell to reports of a woman behaving aggressively towards a man and assaulting him.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was further reported that verbal threats were made.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a result of further enquiries, charges of common assault and using threatening\/abusive\/insulting words or behaviour have since been authorised against Jodie Marsh, 47, of Lindsell.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates\u2019 Court on Friday 17 April.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jodie’s farm is currently home to 250+ animals including 8 ring-tailed lemurs, 17 marmosets, alpacas, emus, reptiles, and fox cubs, plus others. The farm, founded in 2020, also cares for Shetland ponies, chickens, and stray cats.<\/p>\n

Her website reads: \u201cJodie gives a loving home to animals that are either unwanted or in danger of being put to sleep or slaughtered.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, this isn’t the first scandal surrounding her facility, as earlier this year there was a fire on the farm which killed two of her beloved marmosets.<\/p>\n

She was also caught up in a legal battle on whether she could keep her lemurs, which she ending up winning, after she appealed against a council\u2019s decision to refuse her application for a wild animal licence.<\/p>\n

Though there was also concerns been raised about her taking a meerkat to the pub.<\/p>\n
