Civil Aviation Authority<\/a> (CAA) said: “We understand the company had no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings. Bookings sold as accommodation only, non- flight packages, and flight only bookings for which tickets were issued are not protected by the ATOL scheme. As there are no outstanding ATOL-protected bookings, no refunds will be issued.”\n<\/p>\n\n The ATOL scheme, operated by the CAA, protects customers who book package holidays that include flights, offering refunds and repatriation if a travel company ceases trading.\n<\/p>\n
\n However, the scheme does not cover accommodation-only bookings, non-flight packages, or some flight-only arrangements.\n<\/p>\n
\n This means many of Regen Central Ltd\u2019s customers may be left with no financial recourse.\n<\/p>\n
\n The spokesman said: “If you believe you are owed a refund for an ATOL-protected booking, under Regen Central Ltd\u2019s ATOL, please contact us via email at claims@caa.co.uk.”\n<\/p>\n
\n The collapse of Regen Central Ltd is the latest in a series of recent failures within the UK travel sector.\n<\/p>\n
\n In a separate development, Indian charter carrier Dove Airlines also recently shut down all operations after being hit with unmanageable financial difficulties.\n<\/p>\n
\n Founded in 2007 and based in Kolkata, the airline provided business and private charter services but lost a major investor in 2015 and ultimately stopped flying in 2022 after losing its final aircraft.\n<\/p>\n
