Manchester City star Antoine Semenyo has thrown down the challenge to Arsenal<\/a> ahead of Sunday’s crunch title showdown.<\/p>\n

Pep Guardiola’s<\/a> side have trimmed the gap at the Premier League<\/a> summit to just six points. They also have a game in hand, meaning City’s title aspirations are firmly back in their own hands.<\/p>\n

Semenyo believes the timing couldn’t be better<\/a> to welcome Arsenal to the Etihad, with Mikel Arteta’s<\/a> side having won just once in their last five matches across all competitions. That run includes a 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth<\/a> in their most recent Premier League fixture.<\/p>\n

“Our form over the last couple of games has been good and we’re playing probably the best football we’ve played in the second half of the season,” he told In The Mixer, brought to you by Sky Bet.<\/p>\n

“So it’s a good time to play them, I guess. Where they’ve dipped in form, we’ve picked up form, so it’ll be interesting.”<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old Semenyo has played an instrumental role in keeping City’s title challenge alive since his \u00a364million move from Bournemouth<\/a> in January. The Ghana international has netted eight goals and provided three assists in 19 appearances for his new club, including vital contributions against Tottenham<\/a>, Leeds and Nottingham Forest<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He also insists the squad feel completely primed for their most important fixture of the campaign – even as they attempt to play down its magnitude. “We were excited, to be honest,” Semenyo added. “I feel like we’re ready for the game Sunday. It’s gonna be a big one. Title-deciding, maybe? I don’t know.<\/p>\n

“But it’s gonna be a tough game, don’t get me wrong. They’ve obviously lost against Bournemouth but they’re still top of the table.<\/p>\n

“We’re still chasing them.
