{"id":536408,"date":"2026-04-17T18:31:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-17T18:31:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/536408\/"},"modified":"2026-04-17T18:31:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-17T18:31:14","slug":"newbury-anger-as-adventure-golf-course-vandalised","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/536408\/","title":{"rendered":"Newbury &#8211; Anger as adventure golf course vandalised"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Newbury Town Council spoke of their &#8220;sadness and disappointment&#8221; after several of the structures on holes were dismantled, with some found facing upside-down and equipment badly damaged.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  At least four or the plots on the 18-hole course have been vandalised at the course in Wharf Road.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Several of the ladder stands on one of the miniature structures appear caved in, while sand has been displaced and artificial grass mats pulled up.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Writing on social media, the council said: &#8220;The popular Newbury Adventure Golf park has been badly vandalised.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  READ MORE: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.readingchronicle.co.uk\/news\/26031119.flagstaff-road-reading---man-injured-stabbing\/?ref=ed_direct\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Flagstaff Road, Reading &#8211; Man injured after stabbing<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;This much-loved community facility is enjoyed by residents and visitors of all ages, and incidents like this have a real impact on everyone who uses and cares for Victoria Park.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Councillors are appealing for help to anyone who witnessed or knows anything about the incident.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  They said: &#8220;If you have any information that could help, please contact the Police on 101.
