[INTIME NEWS]<\/p>\n<p>The impact of the war in the Middle East on Greek prices is already being felt, as confirmed by Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data, showing a jump in inflation of 2.6% on a monthly basis in March and 3.9% on an annual basis.<\/p>\n<p>Pressures are primarily evident in energy, with fuels recording double-digit increases and operating as a key lever for transmitting precision to the economy.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to February, inflation in the transport category ran at a rate of 7.3%. The change in diesel fuel was very large, at 24.1%; in gasoline at 11.4%, and in other fuels at 19.8%.<\/p>\n<p>The effects of the war were also strong on personal transport services, such as airline tickets, where the monthly change was 26.2%.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, food price increases continued, with the price index increasing by 0.2% month-on-month.
