This beloved detective series <\/a>has proved so compelling that devoted fans have watched the entire run in a single sitting.<\/p>\n Bergerac<\/a> has returned to our television screens with its highly anticipated second series, and viewers have wasted no time plunging headfirst into the fresh set of six episodes.<\/p>\n The show, a reimagining of the BBC’s <\/a>1980s classic originally fronted by John Nettles, sees Damien Molony step into the shoes of iconic detective Jim Bergerac, navigating life as a widower and recovering alcoholic while unravelling complex cases on the island.<\/p>\n Writer Toby Whithouse’s contemporary reinvention of the beloved original has clearly resonated strongly with audiences since its launch last year, becoming the highest-rated series on television and streaming platform UandDrama in 2015.<\/p>\n In the second series, Bergerac faces one of his most challenging investigations when shocking events unfold at a wedding reception in Jersey.
