Enzo Fernandez made his return to the Chelsea line-up against Manchester United on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The club had suspended him for games versus Manchester City and Port Vale after a couple of interviews that left everyone at Stamford Bridge<\/a> far from happy.<\/p>\n

Fernandez<\/a> added fuel to the fire amid links to Real Madrid, refusing to rule out a summer exit.<\/p>\n

Before his recent interviews, Fernandez was a very popular player at Chelsea<\/a>. However, it looks as though some fans have now put him in their bad books.<\/p>\n

After his name was read out at Stamford Bridge before their Premier League<\/a> clash kicked off, Fernandez got a very mixed reception, according to Sky Sports<\/a> journalist Callum Bishop.<\/p>\n

If Fernandez does leave west London this summer, Chelsea will have to sign a new midfielder. There is a good chance that they bring in another midfielder regardless, though.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, it was reported that Chelsea\u2019s pursuit of Alex Scott is not related to Fernandez<\/a> and his future.<\/p>\n

It means both men could line up in Liam Rosenior\u2019s<\/a> midfield next season. Fernandez still has a contract until 2032.<\/p>\n

Enzo Fernandez should have scored on return<\/p>\n

Fernandez almost made the perfect comeback after nearly scoring in the first half. It was 0-0 at the time, so it could have been a completely different game had he converted.<\/p>\n

Other than that miss, the 25-year-old played pretty well overall despite the result. According to Sofascore<\/a>, he made four key passes, but Chelsea were not clinical enough in the end.<\/p>\n

Fernandez and Chelsea did enough to earn a draw, especially in the second half, but it was not meant to be.<\/p>\n

Next up for Rosenior\u2019s side is a trip to the Amex Stadium to take on Brighton & Hove Albion, which is no doubt going to be a tough game given the form that the Seagulls are in. Before Chelsea\u2019s 1-0 defeat to United, they drew 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n
