Earlier this week, vivo announced the start of the global rollout<\/a> of the X300 Ultra and X300 FE with the exact date depending on the market \u2013 it\u2019s April 24<\/a> for Spain, for example. Also, the X300 Ultra is now up on Amazon with an eye-watering price tag of \u20ac2,000<\/a> (16GB\/1TB).<\/p>\n

Based on the results from last week\u2019s poll<\/a>, the vivo X300 Ultra<\/a> will be one of the main challengers in the upcoming Ultra battle. The phone received a very warm welcome with one caveat \u2013 people are curious about the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, which will go global on April 21<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The vivo X300 Pro didn\u2019t offer much challenge, according to the poll \u2013 it and the small X300 only accrued less than 4% of the vote. The Pro sells for \u20ac1,400 and has all the cameras that most people need. Yes, the Ultra is better with a larger main sensor (1\/1.12\u201d vs. 1\/1.28\u201d) and a larger battery for Europe (6,400mAh vs. 5,440mAh), but we thought that the \u20ac600 premium would scare off most people.<\/p>\n

Indeed, some 20% of voters think that the Ultra is too expensive, but they are looking at non-vivo flagships as alternatives. For what it\u2019s worth, the Oppo Find X9 Pro has an MSRP that is \u20ac100 lower than that of the vivo X300 Pro. Anyway, we\u2019re glad to see vivo give its latest X Ultra phone a global release this time around.<\/p>\n
