Tenney\u2019s same-titled movie from 1986, releasing in theaters on  August 15, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The new film is set in present-day New Orleans and centers on \u201ca cursed artifact unleashes a vengeful witch, drawing a young couple into a deadly spiral of possession, temptation, and occult terror.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Madison Iseman (I Know What You Did Last Summer),\u00a0Aaron Dominguez\u00a0(Only Murders in the Building),\u00a0Antonia Desplat (Shantaram), and Charlie Tahan (Ozark) star.<\/p>\n<p>The remake\u2019s cast also includes Jamie Campbell Bower, who plays an occult specialist. Meet his character as he demonstrates his scrying abilities before getting lethal in the clip below.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/bloody-disgusting.com\/interviews\/3823735\/chuck-russell-interview-witchboard-remake\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Chuck Russell told Bloody Disgusting last year<\/a>, \u201cI\u2019ve been fascinated with pendulum boards and alternate realities my whole career, and it was my first opportunity. Pendulum boards have never been used in the genre, and I can\u2019t believe it because of the history of pendulum boards. But as a cinematic\u00a0device, as a visual device, it\u2019s excellent. I got to design the board with real mystical symbols and things that I know represent good and evil, and where that board takes us if the audiences respond to the film, and I hope they will; I know it\u2019s out there for you guys, but the sequel is a world we\u2019ll get to go a little further.
