A man has died after reportedly falling from a building at Salford<\/a> Quays.<\/p>\n Emergency services rushed to MediaCityUK<\/a> earlier this afternoon (Friday) following the tragic incident at around 12:15pm.<\/p>\n Police blocked off a road called Blue, which runs from Broadway into the centre of the MediaCity<\/a> complex.<\/p>\n A stretch inside the road was then taped off, with screening initially being put up around the scene.<\/p>\n Never miss a story with the MEN’s daily Catch Up newsletter – get it in your inbox by signing up here<\/a><\/p>\n That was later replaced by a blue police forensic tent.<\/p>\n Eyewitnesses said a person fell from a building.<\/p>\n Site security staff are said to have begun the first lifesaving attempts before paramedics arrived on the scene.<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> (GMP) confirmed a man sadly died.<\/p>\n Join the Manchester Evening News WhatsApp group HERE<\/a><\/p>\n The incident is not being treated as suspicious, they added.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for the force said: “We responded to an incident at a car park at Media City at 12:15pm today.<\/p>\n \u201cWe can confirm a man has died and there are no suspicious circumstances involved.<\/p>\n \u201cNext of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.\u201d<\/p>\n A cordon remained in place this afternoon.<\/p>\n Help and support<\/p>\n Samaritans (116 123) samaritans.org operates a 24-hour service available every day of the year.
