In just two days after release, Capcom’s latest game – Pragmata – has surpassed 1m units sold.<\/p>\n

The studio noted Capcom’s space-based game was created by “primarily” a team of younger developers, who “created an innovative gameplay experience by fusing action gameplay with puzzle elements set within a distinctive world ruled over by artificial intelligence”.<\/p>\n

Capcom added that given Pragmata was a totally new franchise for the studio, it “implemented a range of marketing” strategies to get word out there. This included a playable demo and support for Nintendo Switch 2<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“As a result, these initiatives generated significant momentum, enabling Pragmata to achieve worldwide sales of over one million units in just two days despite being a completely new IP, marking a strong start for the title,” Capcom said<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Capcom remains firmly committed to satisfying the expectations of all users by leveraging its industry leading game development capabilities in order to create highly entertaining gameplay experiences.”<\/p>\n

Capcom has already had a stellar year. Along with Pragmata – a game our Dom awarded four stars in Eurogamer’s review<\/a> – it also released Resident Evil Requiem to high-praise back in February<\/a>.
