Graham Coxon<\/a> has announced plans to release the never-heard-before 2011 album \u2018Castle Park\u2019 while reissuing all of his solo records. Check out lead single \u2018Billy Says\u2019 along with details of a one-off London gig below.<\/p>\n

The Blur<\/a> guitarist turned solo star and one half of The Waeve<\/a> will be reissuing all of his solo albums over the next 12 months, starting with his 1998 debut \u2018The Sky Is Too High\u2019 and 2000 follow-up\u2019 \u2018The Golden D\u2019 arriving on 19 June.<\/p>\n

That day will also see the first ever release \u2018Castle Park\u2019, produced by Ben Hillier (who also helmed Blur\u2019s \u2018Think Tank\u2019), the album was recorded in 2011 as part of the sessions for \u2018A+E\u2019 and originally intended as a follow up his eight solo LP, but postponed due to Blur\u2019s initial reunion and then abandoned as Coxon moved on to other projects.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

A first taster of the 10-track album comes with \u2018Billy Says\u2019, a regular feature from Coxon\u2019s live sets and echoing the album\u2019s classic Mod sound with hints of The Kinks<\/a> and the guitarists inimitable knack for a sweet and simple guitar-pop hook.<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll also be performing his first full-band solo show in 10 years, celebrating his entire solo career, with a one-off London show at The O2 Forum Kentish Town on 28 November. Tickets will go on general sale at 9am on Friday April and will be available here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Available across CD, LP, black and coloured vinyl with exclusive postcards designed by Coxon, \u2018Castle Park\u2019 (pre-order here<\/a>), \u2018The Sky is Too High\u2019 (pre-order here<\/a>) and \u2018The Golden D\u2019 (pre-order here<\/a>) will be released on Friday June 19.<\/p>\n

The next 12 months will see a comprehensive reissue of all of Coxon\u2019s complete solo catalogue, spanning nine studio albums and three original soundtracks with \u2018Crow Sit On Blood Tree\u2019 (2001), \u2018The Kiss Of Morning\u2019 (2002), \u2018Happiness In Magazines\u2019 (2004), \u2018Love Travels At Illegal Speeds\u2019 (2006), \u2018The Spinning\u2019 Top (2009) and \u2018A+E\u2019 (2012) all on the way. <\/p>\n

Not only that, but fans can also expect the two original songs and score album soundtracks for The End of The F***ing World<\/a> 1 (2018) and The End of The F***ing World 2 (2019) and the original soundtrack to graphic novel Superstate <\/a>(2021).<\/p>\n

As well as penning his celebrated 2022 autobiography Verse, Chorus, Monster!<\/a>, Coxon is also one half of The Waeve his Rose Elinor Dougall formerly of The Pippettes, who is also his partner and mother of his daughter. He also recently featured on \u2018Parasite\u2019 with English Teacher<\/a> on the \u2018Help(2)\u2019 charity album in aid of War Child<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME back in 2024 about the future of Blur<\/a> after their spate of huge reunion shows, Coxon told us: \u201cWe can\u2019t leave it too long because we\u2019re knocking on!<\/p>\n

\u201cCreatively, we\u2019ll always be able to do something, but it\u2019s important that we live life for a bit and hopefully not go through something so traumatic before getting back together again,\u201d he said. \u201cDamon\u2019s always said too that we need to live life so we have something we can bring together if we\u2019re ever going to do anything again. If that all happens, then there shouldn\u2019t be any reason why not.
